The problem that occurs most frequently with
genie openers is the outer trolley is very simple to change out
however if your garage door is not balanced and is moving
smoothly than the problem will occur again. You must make
sure you balance your door and lubricate it to ensure that your
new trolley functions properly. 
Step 1: remove cotter
pin and 1/2" nut from wall mount. pull the rail assembly
up and away from the wall mount this will allow you to
fully slide the old part off the rail assembly. cut of old
pull cord.
Step 2: Install
the new part in the same manner you took the old one off,
making sure that its in the right direction. feed the
cord through the hole and tie a knot on the end. re-tighen 1/2"
bolt on wall mount. assembly.
Step 3: Lubricate
the screw rail assembly using white lithium grease do not
lubricate other parts with grease. This will enhance the
performance and life of your genie motor for years. Make
sure to repeat this step annually.
Note: just because you changed out your
genie garage door opener part does not mean the door
is completely fixed. You must make sure your door is balanced
and running smoothly by hand when your done. This will ensure
that the parts you have just installed do not break soon.
