Garage door bottom seal
There are two types of garage door seals that are available
t-channel type that slides in two most sectional doors and the
foam type for one piece doors or wood sectionals.
Installing garage door seal on most sectional doors
Step 1: Remove old bottom seal by
first spraying the channel with a lubricant, (wd-40, silicone
spray, ect.,.) then slide it out of one side of the sectional
door.
Step 2: Spray the inside of the
channel fully to reduce friction and slide the new garage door
bottom seal into place.
note: this job is much easier with a helper guiding the
bottom seal while you pull.
step 3: Cut the excess off
leaving a couple of inches on each side and tuck the
seal into itself. The material should not be in the way of
the garage door as it rolls up or down.

Installing garage door bottom seal for wood doors
Step 1: Remove all of the nails
and old foam bottom seal with the back end of
your hammer.
Step 2: with galvanized roofing
nails starting from one side nail up the new garage door bottom seal. Make sure
the nails are about 6 inches to 1 foot apart. As you go make
sure the seal is relatively tight. When you get to the other
side of the door cut of the excess bottom seal with a utility
Knife

Garage Door Weather Seal
Also known as stop moulding comes in many forms
but primarily is composed of vinyl with a rubber strip on its
edge.

Step 1: Measure the
length of the header this piece will go in first. Measure again
to double check. Cut the long piece of moulding to length using
a coping saw or some of those laminate shears. You could also
use just about anything, table saw, jig saw, dremel..ect.
Now take some medium or large finish nails and nail them
into the moulding about one every foot. If you do this before
hanging the weather seal becomes much easier.
Step 2: With the door
fully closed starting at one end of the garage hold the seal in
place using one hand to keep it snug against the garage door
and the other to start the nail. Repeat this process all the
way across the seal. Open the door and fully hammer the nails
in...
Step 3: Measure twice
on the sides mark the smaller weather seal and cut it.. It is a
good idea to make a relief cut on this one so it fits snugly in
the corner of the garage door, do this by cutting the upper
corner of the seal in back of the rubber strip... In the
picture above it would be the lower right hand corner....
